I was selected as a finalist for the 2021 Hearst Journalism Awards Audio Competition, which recognized the top audio stories in the nation, for my reporting on Filipino nurses, Minnow Mountain, and PosiTapestries.
STORY SUBMARINE: A PODCAST BY THE DRAG
For my senior year, I served as an Associate Producer and Voice Actor on “Story Submarine,” a children’s podcast by the University of Texas at Austin’s audio production house, as a part of my Journalism Digital Innovations Capstone course. In this role, I assisted with the creation, ideation, and official launch of seven total episodes for the podcast, with duties including (but not limited to) soundscaping, market research, social media marketing, and supplementary materials production, all of which are releasing on a monthly basis.
GLOW MY GOD!: AN AFTERGLOW ATX PODCAST
For two semesters, I served as the Executive Producer and host for Afterglow ATX’s first podcast, which centers on hot takes about the music industry.
